Hemp is the fabric of the future! We found a beautiful 100% organic hemp fabric that is yarn-dyed (the yarn is dyed before it is woven) with naturally occurring slubs throughout.  It has a slightly stiffer feel than our linen caps and is a bit heavier. However, not unlike linen, the beauty of hemp is that it grows softer and softer with wear and care.  Hemp is another wonder fabric that has natural UV resistance, antibacterial and breathability properties.  It's the perfect mid-season cap!

    • Elastic in back panel for a nice fit
    • Stitched and stiffened brim

    SIZING INFO:

Everyone’s head is a different shape and not everyone will fit perfectly within our sizing.  Are you right on the cusp of two sizes?  Do you generally have trouble fitting into caps?  If you are one of these people, let us know!  Just include your needs in the notes section when ordering. If you really are unsure, email us!

Note: X-Large caps are consistently our most exchanged item.

    BRIMS:

We use two different sized brims.  Our Small & Medium, which is 7.25" wide by 1.75" deep (at center).  And our Large & XL, which is 8.25" wide by 2.25" deep (at center).  If you have a preference we can swap them around for you.

    CARE:

We recommend rinsing your cap after getting it sweaty as the salts inherent in our bodies will leach the dye out of the fabric causing discoloration.  Best to hand wash with cool water and a mild soap, hang dry (no dryer).  We machine wash ours on a gentle cycle, but the brim can get misshapen, if that happens an iron will help flatten it.

Check out our FAQ for more information on our Caps

    My favorite cap of all

Probably a 3-season cap for me, often wearing it at work inside to keep dust and light glare out of my eyes.

It is light enough to not be hot, absorbent and cooling, long-wearing.

Along with some part-hemp Patagonia work pants, I'm going to start hemping out my wardrobe. If I can find more garments made from lightweight fabric like this... good stuff!

Yes, I just let 'er rip after hot sweaty rides, or work, and don't rinse out the cap as often as I should once sweaty, but I love how the color ages, although that isn't for everybody.

To be fair, my slate blue Carhartt shorts started a similar fading immediately despite not being sweat-soaked frequently. That blue dye seems to really resist setting.

The softness of hand after a while is impressive.
