    The Big Multi Use Tote is a larger version of our original M.U.T. bag. We designed it to work with over-sized cargo cages and have used them successfully with any and all of them.  They also work well strapped under a saddle and just about anywhere you can strap it, we've even strapped them onto the front of handlebars with success. 

    Constructed from 10.10 oz waxed canvas and tough diamond ripstop lining for extra durability. An insulated layer of foam wraps around the entire bag to protect your load. A pocket is situated on the bottom of the bag to slide over the cage. Two bartacked nylon webbing strips run down the front to give adjustability for mounting to various cages.

    • Two 1" x 22" Total Hook straps included (other 3/4"-1" straps will also work to fasten your load)

    FAQ's 

    Are these bags waterproof? 

    In a word, no, but our waxed canvas is impregnated with Martexin wax at it's inception and with it's nice tight weave, paired with the bag's Diamond Ripstop lining we have full confidence hauling our water sensitive camera gear around in the rains of the Pacific Northwest.  That said, if you plan to float your fully loaded fat bike across the slough, we'd bundle those sensitive bits in something air tight. 

    Can I rewax?

    Yes, we recommend either Martexin wax or Otter Wax, but there are other options.  Also, hit up the Google with 'How to rewax waxed canvas' and there are tutorials on how to do it; wax and heat is the gist of it.  Not too difficult and it brings that lustre finish back.

    JeffnJoan bag and saddle cover rain experience

    I recently did an 83 mile day with rain the entire ride. At the end of the 5 1/2 hour ride, I checked the condition of my bike and gear for survival of the rain. I use the waxed cotton JeffnJoan bag mounted to my Jones H handelbars. My saddle is a brooks B68 leather saddle. It is protected by a randijo waxed cotten cover for Brooks B67 saddles. I was pleased that everything in the bag and the Brooks saddle were completely dry. I have ordered a second bag and saddle cover for my commuter bike.

    BIG MUT BAG just arrived

    I had been searching for a fork-mount bag to hold my camp cook gear and the big MUT was the first one I could find with the perfect 5.5" diameter. Lots of other outfits make 5 inch bags that are just a bit south of useful. This bag fits my gear perfectly and is tall enough to stash the whole kitchen in 1 bag. Perfect stitching, rugged material, beautiful color (olive), very high quality - I'm gonna have this bag for a long time. Awesome customer service: I was ordering the bag with in a time frame just within their stated lead time and added a note to the order stating my "must have by" date. Got a message back right away saying they would hit my date for sure. The bag was in my mailbox 2 days before the date. Loved the packaging: inside the heavy mailer bag was a smaller brown paper package tied up with string.

    Perfect large saddlebag

    Used this as a large saddlebag for an overnight trip. Packed shoes and an outfit which was tight but kept everything tidy. This bag is of the highest quality and I couldn't be more happy with it. Customer service was amazing and got it to be right in time for a trip. Will be recommending to friends.
